Julie Gottlieb, Daniel Hucker and Richard Toye. Manchester University Press, 2021.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I contributed a chapter to this extremely well-edited volume, entitled &#8220;The poet&#8217;s perspective on the Munich Crisis: &#8216;news that STAYS news&#8217;?&#8221;. This is\u00a0part of my ongoing research into the poetry written in the shadow of the Munich Crisis, ie in anticipation of war. This research is (slowly) crystallizing into a <strong>critical anthology<\/strong> of the poems which were born out of this memorable crisis.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Peterloo 1819 and After: Perspectives from Britain and Beyond<\/em>, ed. Rachel Rogers and Alexandra Sippel. To be published in <a href=\"https:\/\/journals.openedition.org\/caliban\/\"><em>Caliban<\/em><\/a> 65, due out in June 2022.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After participating in the conferences of 2019 and 2020, I will be contributing a chapter to this very promising collection of selected essays. It is entitled &#8220;Poetry and Politics in the Aftermath of Peterloo: &#8220;To Autumn&#8221; (1819) by John Keats.&#8221; I also co-edit, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fdu.edu\/profiles\/james_gifford\/\">James Gifford<\/a> of Fairleigh Dickinson University, the Detours\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fabula.org\/actualites\/caliban-63-effondrement-cfp-nouvelle-section-detours_97072.php\">D\u00e9tours<\/a> section of <em>Caliban<\/em>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>On Miracle Ground XXI: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lawrencedurrell.org\/wp_durrell\/on-miracle-ground-xxi\">Mysticisms, heresies and heterotopias in the works of Lawrence Durrell<\/a><\/em>: conference organized by the International Lawrence Durrell Society, in Toulouse , 9-11 June, 2022<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I will be contributing a paper entitled, &#8220;Lawrence Durrell and Elie Papadimitriou: uneasy allies within the heterotopian space of <em>Personal Landscape<\/em> (1945)&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have three (for me) major research projects planned for the university year 2021-2022: The Munich Crisis: Politics and the People, ed.
