La tr\u00eave est donc une v\u00e9ritable action qui court en parall\u00e8le d\u2019un \u00e9tat de guerre continu. Toutefois, on confond souvent tr\u00eave et procrastination statique. Si son r\u00e9sultat peut \u00eatre n\u00e9gatif, le concept de tr\u00eave ne doit pas \u00eatre per\u00e7u comme improductif. Au contraire, il faut le percevoir, \u00e0 l\u2019instar de Carl von Clausewitz, comme une opportunit\u00e9 \u00e0 saisir. Cette conf\u00e9rence souhaite ainsi examiner la nature sp\u00e9cifique de la tr\u00eave et envisager cette derni\u00e8re autrement que comme un simple gain de temps. Si les \u00e9pisodes de tr\u00eave font souvent l\u2019objet d\u2019un r\u00e9cit litt\u00e9raire ou historique, la dynamique op\u00e9rationnelle de la tr\u00eave est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement peu \u00e9voqu\u00e9e. Cette journ\u00e9e d\u2019\u00e9tude souhaite donc s\u2019attarder sur l\u2019aspect formel et mat\u00e9riel de la tr\u00eave tout autant que sur les avantages et les d\u00e9fis qu\u2019elle repr\u00e9sente ou g\u00e9n\u00e8re dans le cadre de conflits politiques et\/ou religieux. On soulignera donc les m\u00e9thodes concr\u00e8tes ainsi que les agents favorisant\/construisant la tr\u00eave dans l\u2019histoire et la litt\u00e9rature (et en particulier au th\u00e9\u00e2tre). Cette journ\u00e9e a pour but d\u2019interroger le concept de tr\u00eave en confrontant les r\u00e9cits historiques et litt\u00e9raires et la fa\u00e7on dont ils envisagent et de mettent \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9preuve la tr\u00eave comme \u00ab\u00a0suspension des actions de guerre\u00a0\u00bb.
