It is now animated by Hilary Sanders, Rachel Rogers and Alexandra Sippel. ATHIP is part of the Axe 3 (Crises and Reconfigurations) of the CAS laboratory (EA 801, Université Toulouse Jean Jaurès). We organise monthly sessions from October/November to June, as well as one-day conferences, sometimes dedicated to the themes addressed in the programmes of national competitive exams for would-be teachers.

For the first few years, we worked on the question of democracy and popular or radical movement in the Atlantic world, mainly in the British Isles and the USA. From this year onwards, our main topic will be « Constructing the Commons. » As 2021-2022 was the first year dedicated to this new question, we chose to just have a three conference programme, and to each propose a one-hour lecture on an aspect that we found of interest.

The purpose of this blog is to share information about our programme. Those interested will also be able to find the recordings of our past sessions (only with explicit permission).
