La longue histoire des recherches \u00e0 l\u2019abri de la Souquette n\u2019a pas abouti \u00e0 une compr\u00e9hension approfondie de ce site ayant livr\u00e9 des d\u00e9p\u00f4ts aurignaciens consid\u00e9rables, mais plut\u00f4t \u00e0 une sorte d\u2019obscurit\u00e9 savante dans laquelle le site est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme \u00e9tant d\u00e9pourvu de potentiel dans le domaine de la recherche.
