L’Université Toulouse Jean Jaurès (UT2J) poursuit, pour la seconde année consécutive, son engagement dans le projet européen EARTH à travers l’implication de 6 enseignant·e·s-chercheur·e·s du département, Géographie, aménagement, environnement, et de l’Ensfea (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Formation de l’Enseignement Agricole).
Le troisième cours international en ligne (OIC 3) organisé par l’UT2J en lien avec le Centre universitaire de l’Ariège Robert Naudi accueillera du 8 au 24 février 2021 environ 30 étudiant·e·s (10 étudiants de l’UT2J, et une vingtaine d’étudiant·e·s des universités partenaires) Il aura pour thème : Relations rural-urbain, biodiversité et politiques de développement territorial rural. L’objectif de base de l’OIC3 est d’étudier la relation entre protection de la biodiversité et développement des territoires ruraux, en analysant la prise en compte des requêtes des institutions internationales dans les politiques publiques nationales, les implications à l’échelle locale au sein des territoires ruraux, les représentations de la nature depuis le monde rural et depuis le monde urbain.
Le webinaire du lundi 8 février ouvre la thématique concernée avec les exposés de six chercheurs internationaux et experts du consortium EARTH.
Le cours proposé dès le 9 février sera articulé autour de 6 grands thèmes et est composé de séances théoriques avec des enseignants-chercheurs et d’espaces de débat et de réflexion avec des acteurs et des experts professionnels. Chaque groupe d’étudiants (un par thème) va mener à bien un travail de terrain permettant aux étudiants de mener des entretiens autour de l’étude d’un cas, d’analyser matériaux et données de recherche réunis, et de restituer les résultats devant la communauté universitaire et les acteurs locaux invités.

The University Toulouse Jean Jaurès (UT2J) continues, for the second consecutive year, its commitment to the European EARTH project through the involvement of 6 teachers-researchers from the Department of Geography, Planning, Environment and Ensfea (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Formation de l’Enseignement Agricole).
The third international online course (OIC 3) organized by UT2J in conjunction with the Ariège University Center will welcome about 30 students (10 students from the UT2J, and around twenty students from partner universities) from February 8 to 24, 2021. The theme of the course will be: Rural-urban relations, biodiversity and rural territorial development policies. The main objective of the OIC 3 is to study the relationship between biodiversity protection and development of rural territories, by analyzing the consideration of the demands of international institutions in national public policies, the implications at the local level within rural territories, the representations of nature from the rural and urban world.
The webinar on Monday, February 8 opens the theme with a presentation of 6 international researchers and experts of the EARTH consortium.
The course proposed from February 9 will be structured around 6 main themes and is composed of theoretical sessions with teacher-researchers and spaces for debate and reflection with professional stakeholders and experts. Each group of students (one per theme) will carry out fieldwork allowing students to conduct interviews around a case study, to analyze materials and research data collected, and to report the results to the academic community and invited local stakeholders.
