Going out, having fun, campus activities

University isn’t all about studying!  Students at UT2J can get involved in an abundance of diverse cultural and sporting activities.

Arts and culture
La Fabrique

More than 200 free artistic events are organized each year at La Fabrique and off-campus: major exhibitions, concerts, film screenings, dance performances, theater, circus acts, performances, literary events, and more. Programmed by the Centre d’Initiatives Artistiques du Mirail (CIAM), the university’s arts and culture department, these events are produced in partnership with other university departments, cultural institutions, cultural professionals, and artists.

Colorful festivals welcome audiences right from the start of the academic year in September, with the open-air performances of Sur la pelouse (exactly), in winter with the foreign-language university theater festival Universcènes (with original audio and subtitles), as well as at other times throughout the year.

The following are also offered free of charge to students:

  • art workshops
  • exhibition tours and cultural excursions in the region
  • optional courses and cultural enrichment programs.

Finally, La Fabrique is a member of the Pinkpong contemporary art network and participates annually in Weact (Contemporary Art Weekend).

Events, scheduled during lunch breaks, in the evenings, or on weekends, make it easy for everyone to attend or participate. Feel free to stop by La Fabrique and come meet the team on the first floor!
